Kwabena Asamoah Brako- Adu

Most people call me Kobe, which is originally spelt 'Kobby'.

Born and raised in Accra, Ghana, West Africa. I went to college in Storrs Connecticut, and lived in Granada Spain for six months before I graduated. I live in New York now and this is my work.

My work, my art, my gift, my pleasure, my favorite thing to do with my hands, my release, my talent, my ability to express exactly what I feel and see in my mind's eye onto paper. Call it what you will. I am an artist who is heavily influenced by fashion illustration and design. My design aesthetic focuses on the appreciation of the female physicality, for the most part. More importantly, however, I try, each time I put pen to paper, to represent the what it is about women that I find powerful.

Creativity, individuality, innovation and uniqueness. Art is the epitome of a self-expressive avenue. I use my art to express myself; to show my appreciation for everything around me that has the ability to inspire me. With reference to my design aesthetic I focus on acknowledging each curve, each bend, each crease and each crevice of the female physique. I have always viewed the human physicality as the best way to reveal who you really are; whether it be through song, dance, clothing style or photography. As cliché as it may seem, I've drawn and designed since before I knew how to color inside the lines and this website serves to show, only a snippet of my artistic, design and creative ability. Enjoy.
